At Art is Lit, each artwork and handmade creation is shipped directly by the independent artist or vendor who created it. As a marketplace, we connect buyers with artists, allowing unique and original pieces to find new homes around the world.
1. Vendor Responsibility
Each vendor is responsible for:
- Packaging their products securely.
- Dispatching orders within the stated processing time.
- Selecting an appropriate shipping service.
- Providing accurate shipping information.
- Supplying tracking details where available.
Shipping times may vary between vendors depending on location, production times, and carrier services.
2. Processing Times
Many products sold on Art is Lit are handmade, made-to-order, or one-of-a-kind pieces.
Processing times will be displayed within individual product listings and may vary between vendors.
Buyers are encouraged to review product descriptions carefully before placing an order.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are determined by the individual vendor and will be displayed during checkout.
Shipping costs may vary based on:
- Item size and weight.
- Delivery destination.
- Shipping method selected.
- Insurance requirements.
- Special packaging requirements for fragile artwork.
4. Tracking Information
Where available, vendors should provide tracking information once an order has been dispatched.
Buyers can use tracking details to monitor the progress of their shipment.
Please note that tracking availability may vary depending on the shipping carrier and destination country.
5. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only.
Delivery delays may occur due to:
- Weather conditions.
- Customs processing.
- Postal disruptions.
- Public holidays.
- Carrier delays outside the vendor’s control.
Art is Lit cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.
6. International Orders
Some vendors may offer international shipping.
For international purchases:
- Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or additional charges imposed by their local authorities.
- Delivery times may be longer due to customs clearance procedures.
Art is Lit and its vendors are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.
7. Damaged Parcels
If an order arrives damaged, buyers should:
- Take clear photographs of:
- The packaging.
- The shipping label.
- The damaged item.
- Contact the vendor through Art is Lit within 48 hours of delivery.
- Retain all packaging materials until the matter has been resolved.
Art is Lit may request additional information to assist with the investigation.
8. Lost Parcels
If a parcel appears lost in transit:
- Buyers should first check the tracking information provided.
- Contact the vendor directly through Art is Lit.
- Allow reasonable time for carrier investigations.
Vendors are responsible for working with the shipping carrier to locate missing shipments.
9. Incorrect Shipping Information
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details at checkout.
Art is Lit and its vendors cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the buyer.
10. Delivery Confirmation and Buyer Protection
Once a parcel has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, the buyer will enter Art is Lit’s 48-hour inspection period.
During this period:
- Funds remain securely on hold.
- The buyer may confirm receipt and satisfaction with the order.
- The buyer may report any issues in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
If no issue is reported within 48 hours, the order will be considered accepted and the vendor’s payment will be released.
11. Marketplace Role
Art is Lit provides the platform that connects buyers and artists.
Unless otherwise stated, Art is Lit does not directly package, ship, or fulfil orders listed by independent vendors.
Shipping responsibilities remain with the individual vendor.
